Locker eligibility
Customer and Account Requirement
Safe deposit lockers are offered only to existing customers of CIB Kenya Ltd, specifically those holding either a Current or Savings account with a history at the bank. To be eligible, customers must have an active transactional account for at least three months before requesting a locker. All account documents must be duly completed and verified.
Locker Eligibility and Availability
Safe deposit lockers can be hired by individuals and companies subject to compliance with the bank's KYC and CDD requirements. The lockers are located at selected bank branches and are available in different sizes: Small, Medium, and Large.
Lessor-Lessee Relationship
The relationship between the bank and the locker holder is that of a Lessor and Lessee. Lockers are typically rented to individuals in single or joint names. However, they cannot be rented to minors.
Due Diligence and Risk Assessment
The bank shall conduct customer due diligence for both new and existing customers to the levels prescribed under risk categorization.
Please take note that Arms, Drugs and Money are prohibited.
