Tom Gitogo is the Group MD and CEO of Britam Holdings Plc, a leading diversified financial services group present in seven African countries: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Sudan, Mozambique, and Malawi. He is an accomplished Financial Services Professional and Board level leader, skilled in Management, Commercial and Business Strategy, Sales, Finance and Talent Management, having spent over 30 years in various roles in the financial services industry in Africa and Europe. Before joining Britam, Tom was previously the Group CEO of CIC, a listed regional insurance group, and before that, the CEO of Sanlam Insurance (also listed). Tom holds an MBA (Strategic Management) from Moi University and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Nairobi. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), a Fellow of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), a Fellow of Kenya Institute of Management, a member of the Institute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya (ICPSK) and a member of the Institute of Directors of Kenya (IOD).
